
Community Events That Give Back
Our fundraising events are a core part of how the White Rock Firefighters Charitable Association supports the community. Each year, we host three signature annual events, along with a variety of additional fundraisers and community initiatives throughout the year.
Every event is an opportunity to connect, give back, and support local causes that make a real difference.
White Rock Fire Fighters Annual Signature Events

Santa Claus Pancake Breakfast
A long-standing community favourite, our Pancake Breakfast brings families, neighbours, and firefighters together for a fun and welcoming morning.
Proceeds support local families, schools, and community initiatives throughout White Rock and South Surrey.

Tree Chipping Program
Our annual Tree Chipping Program offers residents a convenient and environmentally responsible way to dispose of their Christmas trees.
Funds raised through this event go directly toward local charitable programs and community support initiatives.

Pumpkin Smash
Our Pumpkin Smash is a fun, post-Halloween community event that helps keep pumpkins out of landfills while supporting local fundraising efforts.
Residents are invited to drop off their pumpkins to be responsibly processed, turning a seasonal tradition into a positive impact for the community.
Community Fundraisers & Seasonal Initiatives
Beyond our three signature annual events, the White Rock Firefighters Charitable Association proudly leads and participates in several important community fundraisers throughout the year. These initiatives allow us to respond to seasonal needs, support partner organizations, and connect directly with the community we serve.
Fill the Boot Drive
The Fill the Boot Drive is a long-standing firefighter tradition and a meaningful way for our members to engage directly with the community.
During this campaign, firefighters are out in the community collecting donations in support of local charitable initiatives. The Fill the Boot Drive provides a visible, hands-on opportunity for residents to contribute while meeting the firefighters who serve them.
Annual Christmas Train
Each holiday season, the White Rock Firefighters participate in the Annual Christmas Train, helping to collect donations and spread holiday spirit throughout the community.
This much-loved seasonal event supports families and organizations in need during the holidays, reinforcing the importance of care, generosity, and connection at a time of year when it matters most.
Additional Fundraising &
Community Support Efforts
Throughout the year, the Association also organizes and supports a wide range of fundraising and community initiatives, from community BBQs and neighbourhood events to school- and youth-focused fundraisers. This includes partner-led charity events and collaborations, business- and community-sponsored fundraising efforts, and health, safety, and wellness awareness campaigns, as well as special fundraising initiatives launched in response to local emergencies or urgent needs.
These initiatives allow the Association to remain responsive and flexible, ensuring support reaches the community when and where it is needed.
